Champagne Abelé 1757 Rosé Brut 75clBRUT TRADITIONEL ROSE
Established in 1757, Maison Abelé has two kilometres of underground cellars dug out of solid chalk in the heart of Reims. Made from the best crus in Champagne, Brut Rosé ages for three years on its lees, away from light and variations in temperature.
Here we have a champagne with body, with all the seductive powers and appeal of a rosé, a worthy representative of a land and its history. Out of all this history, nearly 250 years of the labour of successive generations of Abelé, come extraordinary wines, such as this Brut Rosé. Maison Henri Abelé invests all its know-how into this wine, vinifying Pinot Noir white and red and creating the assemblage with Pinot Meunier, to which it owes its particular floral and forest fruit aromas.
Grape varieties : 30% Chardonnay - 40% Pinot Noir - 30% Pinot Meunier
Tasting notes
Appearance : Attractive deep colour. Fine, persistent bubbles.
Bouquet : A symphony of fruity aromas, especially strawberry and raspberry.
Palate : The aromas carry over onto the palate, which is smooth with all the fruitiness and finesse one would hope for in pink Champagne. Roasted notes on the aftertaste, with just the right amount of dosage.
It is a fine accompaniment to the last moments of a meal, and harmonizes perfectly with soft cheeses and red fruit desserts.
