Cinsault rosé Les Coches J.Moreau & Fils 75cl Vin de France screwcap
HISTORY : Cinsault is a southern grape varietal and its name is said to come from the Provencal dialect cinq saou . It is also known as Plant d Arles . It is found in south- eastern France, where it is among the varietals grown in the numerous appellations of the Languedoc and Rhone Valley regions. It is also grown in North Africa. Vinified on its own, it produces wines that are soft with discrete fruit.
LOCATION : The Languedoc region. Our select ion comes from a vineyard located on a plateau where it benefits from south- eastern exposure, to the west of Carcassone,
TERROIR : Limestone and Villefranchian gravel based soils.
VARIETAL : 100% Cinsault
THE VINIFICATION PROCESS :
- harvested at optimum maturity
- the grapes were pressed immediately. The press and free- run juices were separated
- enzymes were added and the juice was cold- settled for 24 hours
- fermentation took place under controlled temperatures (15°C)
- aged on fine lees until January 2009.
ORGANOLEPTIC ANALYSIS : Brilliant pink colour. A fruity, slightly spicy nose reminiscent of gooseberry, white pepper and liquorice. Lively and velvety on the palate with flavours of pomegranate and mild spices. Enjoy chilled. This pleasing, easy- drinking wine is the perfect match for a summer meal, composed salads, grilled meats, poultry, seafood and deli meats.
