Chardonnay 75cl 2018 Alto Adige - Alois Lageder
Grape variety: Chardonnay.
Description : brilliant, straw-yellow colour with light green hints; the aroma is delicate with pronounced notes of subtropical fruit; quite intense flavour and a good, medium-bodied structure, coupled with lively acidity. Under proper storage conditions, this wine will drink well for at least 2 to 4 years. more
Suggested food : as an aperitif, with starters, salads, all types of seafood (fish and shellfish), chicken, pasta.
Origin : selected vineyards in Magrè, Cortaccia, Pochi and Salorno at 230 to 500 metres altitude (750 – 1,640 feet); sandy and stony soil with an important content of limestone; warm microclimate with big variations between day and night temperatures.
Age of the vines : 10 – 40 years.
Harvested : the end of august - early September 2011.
Yield : 67 hl / ha.
Vinification : fermentation in stainless steel tanks; matured on the lees for 4 months.
Alcohol : 12.5 % by vol.
