Gin Cockney's 70cl 44,2% Belgium
"Bottled in friendshp" , it says on the bottle.Below the text the bell tower of the St.Mary-L-Bow is shown. You are a cockney if born within earshot of this bell to a family of labourers. The first Cokney's gin was distilled in 1838 by a Londerner living in Ghent. Luc Waterschoot of the Aalst Distillery VDS acquired the recipe in a roundabout way. Roel Corthals , Ja-Maarten Willems and Tom Heeremans , three friends from Aalst with a passion for gin and tonic , had been dreaming for some time of distilling their own gin when they met Luc . In the summer of 2014 they reintroduced the oldest Belgian gin brand to the market. They added a further 15 Botanicals to the original recipe , which up until then contained only juniper , coriander and gentian.
Flavour : Spicy , crisp gin, dominated by citrus flavours from bitter orange and grapefruit.
Garnish : Orange zest and shiso leaf.
