L'Oca Ciuca Chianti rosso 75cl 2014 D.O.C. Tuscany Italy

L’Oca Ciuca is located in Toscana midway between Florence and Pisa in the western part of the Chianti DOCG, in the Cerreto Guidi zone. Cerreto Guidi, is a medieval village built in the 14th Century, situated on the rolling Tuscan hills between Montalbano to the North and the Arno river to the South. The town is in close proximity to Vinci, famous for Leonardo’s birthplace. In this zone, mild winters and hot summers allow for perfect ripening of the grapes. The estate covers 60 hectares (148 acres) with exceptional characteristics; marine origin limestone and rich clay soil, perfect for Sangiovese and Merlot vines and southwest exposure gives the grapes ideal exposure to sunlight. The soil, ideal exposure to sunlight, and the climate with the sea breezes from the nearby Mediterranean coast, guarantee perfectly ripe, very concentrated grapes with a unique flavor profile. The wines are characterized by elegance structure and balance.
