Mercurey red 1º Cru En Sazenay Chateau de Mercey 75cl 2011
Situated in the heart of the Hautes Côtes de Beaune appellation, the Estate streches over 48 hectares. Trellised uniquely in lyre formation, the Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune wines represent over half of the Estate.

Vinification & Maturing : The grapes are hand harvested and totally destemmed. Vatting lasts 20 days in temperature controlled vats. The cap is punched down twice a day during the alcoholic fermentation. The malolactic fermentation is completed at 100%. The wine is then matured 100% in oak barrels, then bottled in traditional Burgundy bottles.
Tasting Notes :
Visual : Deep and intense garnet red.
Nose : Expressive with aromas of red fruits (morello) with notes of grill.
Palate : Round with flavors of vanilla and licorice. The tannins are ripe and well-integrated.
