Original Rum Stroh 70cl 80%
When Sebastian Stroh distilled his first liquor in 1832 in St. Paul in Lavanttal in Carinthia, he started an Austrian success story that has continued for more than 175 years now. In those days, when the spirits industry in the southern part of Austria had just started, the young man with a good sense for business was a pioneer - not just on his own behalf. Stroh was a family business that grew steadily and soon gained an excellent reputation for its products. At the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900, Stroh was awarded for the "Grand Gold Medal" and from then the great success of Stroh could not be stopped: in Austria as well as abroad.
Today, Stroh still is the leading spirits brand from Austria and is sold in more than 40 countries all over the world. If Sebastian Stroh would be alive and could take a look on the internet, he certainly would be surprised how well-known his products are around the world and where they are available. Stroh can be called "Inländer Rum" again! Based on a new EC law the term "Inländer Rum" is trademarked as Austrian specialty and is since springtime 2009 produced to 100% in Austria. The sensorial characteristics of this rum are its delicately aromatic rum taste with its harmonious unique notes. According to an old Austrian tradition and a secret recipe from the house of Stroh, this rum is refined with the finest essences (bonificateurs). This recipe comes from the founder of the Stroh company, Sebastian Stroh, and has been handed on for generations and retained in its original form. The refinement process gives Stroh its distinctive aroma that is famous around the world, and that connoisseurs associate with Austria.
