Rully white 1Cru Clos La Bressande 75cl 2012 Chateau de Rully - Antonin Rodet

This ancient fortress dating from the 12th century is owned by the Counts of Ternay and is the emblem of the village of Rully. Nearly half of its 30 hectares are classified as Premier Crus, producing approximately 80% white wines and 20% red wines. Antonin Rodet manages the Estate since 1986.

Vinification & Maturing : The grapes are hand harvested then pressed in a pneumatic press. After a racking of the must, the alcoholic fermentation and the maturation are carried out 100% in oak barrels (60% new oak barrels) during 15 months. The malolactic fermentation is completed at 100%. The wine is then bottled in traditional Burgundy bottles.

Tasting Notes :

Visual : Yellow in colour with silvery grey highlights. Clear and brilliant

Nose : Citrus aromas (grapefruit), candied lemon and nuts (hazelnut) along with a discrete touch of oak

Palate : Rich and powerful with toasted flavours followed by lemony notes. The finish is long and refreshing

Serving Suggestions : Cold cuts, Seafood, shellfish, crustaceans , Hot first courses, Fine fish or white meats in sauces,Fine, dry or goaty cheeses

Ageing Potential : Already delicious, this wine can age 3 to 5 years
