Details
In 1864, Eloy Lecanda founded the winery that symbolizes the golden legend of Spanish red wine. Throughout its long history, it has belonged to different owners, although it has always maintained an unquestionable personality, making concentrated, mature, generous and extremely elegant.
History : After alcoholic fermentation in wooden and stainless steel vats, malolactic fermentation takes place in large 18,000 to 20,000 litre wooden vats over 2 years, followed by 18 months in new casks and 48 months in used casks. The rest in the bottle until commercialisation in the years 2000 and 2001.
Tasting notes :
Colour : Intense cherry red with light orangey undertones. Brilliant and lively. It maintains the strength of the vintage.
Nose : Elegant and complex aroma, it maintains a perfect harmony between the fruit, oak and esters, due to aging. Reminiscences of coffee, tobacco and undergrowth.
Mouth : Powerful and opulent taste, it has the elegance of aged wines combined with the persistence of the youngest wines. It is complex, full of flavour, with great structure and aromatic persistence.
