Mouton Cadet red 75cl Bordeaux Baron Philippe de Rothschild

Mouton Cadet Rouge is made from a blend of classic grape varieties : Merlot (80%), Cabernet Sauvignon (12%) and Cabernet Franc (8%). Merlot brings roundness and ripe red fruit flavours, Cabernet Sauvignon the tannic structure and touches of black berry fruit, and Cabernet Franc elegance and freshness.

TASTING NOTES

ASPECT: A deep ruby red.

NOSE: The nose opens on aromas of red fruit (raspberry, strawberry)and mild spice, going on with airing to reveal black fruit (blackberry, bilberry) followed by aromatic herb notes (garrigue) which enhance and freshen the bouquet.

PALATE: The elegant attack recalls the nose, expressing strawberry, raspberry and blackberry flavours. The highly refined mid-palate extends into a long finish which lingers on persistent fruit and powerful tannnins.

Varieties : 80% Merlot - 12 % Cabernet Sauvignon - 8% Cabernet Franc
